Opening Ceremony
Join us for our opening ceremony- an evening retreat featuring some of the experiences we’ll be offering with wellbeing on the island. Starting proceedings with empowering mat pilates, going into a relaxing yoga class on the wild-flower lawn, before delving deep into a sound meditation featuring gongs & crystal bowls under the stars.
We’re delighted to be collaborating with Richmond’s boutique reformer pilates studio “Anthro-Contrology” on all our pilates offerings. Lululemon ambassador, Third Space instructor and Kew Gardens resident yogi Cassie Awan will be joining us this evening as our guest yoga instructor bringing her magic zen touch to the island. Closing the event we’ll have a cathartic sound bath by our resident gong master, Sam founder of IO Project. Designed to help you let go, bringing the body & mind back into synchronicity leaving you feeling blissed out & content.
Closing the evening with a burning ceremony to let go of anything we don’t want to carry with us into the summer season, followed by a celebratory light drinks’ reception.

A very special morning for Mummy’s and their pre-crawling babies. Come and reconnect, recharge and deeply relax in our decadent sunlit ballroom.
We start with a gentle postnatal friendly Mummy & baby yoga class led by Beetle Bum Yoga- a moment to stretch, breathe and connect with our little ones. Followed by a soothing sound bath by IO Project, suitable for little ears. Think crystals bowls, Venus gongs & healing shanti chimes.
Afterwards join us for a hot drink & nourishing acai bowl at D’Oylys our undercover open-air café at the end of the island. A chance to reflect, chat and connect with likeminded local Mammas in our beautiful, unique surroundings.

Qi Gong Beginners workshop.
Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice involving coordinated breathing, movement, and meditation techniques. A variation on Tai Chi. Smooth, continuous and flowing movements create a state of openness where we can plug deeply into the Earth and smooth the lines of tension that we accumulate in our physical, mental and emotional bodies. At the end of the practice, you will emerge refreshed, revitalised and grounded.

Mat Pilates & Restorative Stretch
A mixed level mat pilates class where we will explore basic movements and build on strengthening the core, glutes and spine. We will end the class with a restorative stretch.

Forest Bathing Workshop & Tea Ceremony – Shinrin-Yoku
Reconnect. Recharge. Return to Nature.
Forest Bathing is a guided mindfulness experience in nature inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku. This practice invites you to slow down, awaken all five of your senses, and immerse yourself in the healing atmosphere of the trees. Forest Bathing offers a supportive space to unwind, reflect, and feel more grounded.
What’s Included:
* Gentle Guided Walk (1–2km, slow-paced)
* Breathwork & Sensory Awareness Exercises
* Mindful Pauses to engage your senses and deepen your connection with the natural surroundings
* Econidra – a unique, guided nature meditation combining body scan and visualization, enjoyed lying down

Join us for a 90-minute breathwork workshop designed to gently guide you back to yourself. This class is crafted to support nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and the restoration of inner harmony.

Full Moon Crystal Bowl Sound Bath & Burning Ceremony
90 min healing sound bath surrounded by candles, honouring the June ‘strawberry moon’. Holly has the most incredible singing voice- let yourself be soothed by her dulcet tones & beautiful crystal bowls. Closing with a burning ceremony to let go of anything that no longer serves us, under the powerful cleansing energies of the full moon.

Summer Solstice Celebration
Come and mark summer solstice with us on the island. Celebrate the abundance of nature & the power of the sun.
Create your very own floral centre piece to take home using summery seasonal flowers, foliage & herbs believed to possess protective properties; with our workshop by Jo from Daisy Chain Floristry (Florist of 32 years with 5 Chelsea gold medals). A glass of our island favourite Flor rose included in your ticket to get those creative juices flowing.
Enjoy this time crafting with your hands & having fun with friends before learning about some of the old traditions of midsummer. We’ll close the evening with a solstice bonfire ritual to release anything we no longer need and manifest joy.

Wildlings Picnic
Gather your wildlings for a giant picnic on the D’Oyly Carte Island lawn. A deli picnic hamper and glass of Flor rose (or non-alcoholic drink of choice) included in your ticket. Come, feast & have fun in this incredible location with local parents and their little wildlings.
The croc of JM Barrie’s ‘Peter Pan’ was inspired by D’Oyly Carte’s very own pet crocodile. Our island mascot. Fly away to Neverland with our Peter-Pan themed Amber Bees music class for babies & toddlers (6-30 months)
Join us for a magical adventure filled with pirate songs and fairy jingles, musical instruments and parachute play. Bubbles, movement & imagination. Treasure basket time- after our music session explore textures, colours and surprises.
We’ll also have a professional photographer on site taking portraits of you and your little one for purchase after the event.
Dress up welcome! (Think pirates, fairies & lost boys).

Sama Trinder founder of Richmond’s iconic wellbeing studio Bhuti brings her ‘Journey to Joy’ to D’Oyly Carte Island. We’re so lucky to catch Sama in between her international retreats.
We’ll begin the evening with a cacao ceremony to facilitate connection, healing and self-discovery followed by movement & dance for release. Closing proceedings with an immersive sound bath by IO Project feat crystal bowls & gongs. A beautiful coming together under the new moon- a time for manifestation.

A little party never hurt nobody. The wellbeing team’s take over night as part of the D’Oyly Carte Island summer concert series. Disco Yoga (Glastonbury, Latitude Festival) take over the island for one night only- yoga moves to disco grooves. Bringing their live DJ, infectious energy & a fabulous dressing up box.. A glass of our island favourite Flor rose included in your ticket to limber you up, ready for all those dance moves. Bring your own yoga mat!

IO Project host immersive sound meditation sessions in unique locations.
Our experiences are full of love, ritual & traditional practice but with a bit more contemporary attitude & delivery so they’re accessible & meaningful to a sophisticated, urban, contemporary clientele.
Using Paiste gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls as well as mantra, visuilisation techniques, breathwork and yoga nidra we take guests on deeply relaxing and cathartic sound journeys, helping you let go, re-balance and find peace. An incredible tool for body & mind helping release stress, have a gorgeous deep nights sleep and recalibrate the nervous system. You could call it the antidote to apathy... for adults who’ve forgotten how to play.
Created by DJ Goldierocks, having spent the last two decades travelling the world touring as a DJ & broadcaster she was very familiar with the need to seek balance. Throughout her career & life on the festival circuit, she’s extensively researched & created a set of personal practices & routines that she finds restorative.
Having recently hosted sessions for the staff of Google, Spotify & Soho House as well as festival appearances at Wilderness, Camp Bestival & Glastonbury, she’s delighted to be taking up a summer residency at D’Oyly Carte Island.


Anthro Contrology
We’re delighted to be collaborating with Richmond’s boutique reformer pilates studio “Anthro-Contrology” on all our pilates offerings . Anthro-Contrology pilates classes prioritse full body & mind wellness and are centred around precise resistance-based movements developed to stretch and strengthen the entire body – and brain. Their mat pilates classes allow time to recalibrate and realign hosted in our ballroom and in the open air on the front flower lawn.
